Getting to Know Jesus
The Plan of Salvation
First, the big question.

There are several questions that all of us ask. What happens when I die? Where will I spend eternity? The single most important question that you will ever answer is this - “If I die today, would I spend eternity in Heaven?”
​
Your relationship to Jesus Christ is the single answer to that question. The Bible tells us in I John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life...” If you can know your telephone number, or your social security number, you can know where you will spend eternity!
First, realize God loves you.
In the Bible we learn that God loves everyone regardless of who they are, where they come from, how much money they have, or any other factor. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Next, realize you are a sinner.
No one is perfect. We ALL have broken God’s commandments at some point in time. This is called sin. Therefore, none of us are good. But the Bible tells us that sin separates us from God.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Then, realize there is a price to be paid for sin.
The consequence of our sin is death. But it is more than physical death It is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Finally, realize Jesus died for your sins.
The Bible teaches us that Jesus died on the cross, not because He was guilty, but because we are. He died for the sins of the whole world, including you and me. If you believe on Him He can and will save you today and give you eternal life in heaven. Without him, you cannot enter into Heaven
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
How to be Saved
What you read above is a direct promise from God that you can claim as your own! You can claim Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and now enter into a new life with Jesus Christ by doing the following:
Step 1 – Repent & Trust Jesus
If you would like to begin a relationship with Jesus, you can, right where you are, right now. Simply pray and ask the Lord to forgive you for your sins and be your Savior.
Step 2 – Pray to God
If you have never prayed before, simply pray something like this:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I ask you now to forgive me of all of my sins. Through the blood of Jesus, your Son, cleanse me. I ask you now to be my Savior. Change my life. Take me to Heaven when I die. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Step 3 – Follow Jesus
